To Create Your Personal Wiki Page and Link to Camper Directory

Wiki is a tool that lets you create and edit web pages. For reference, you are about to create a page for yourself that looks like this.

There are two parts to this tutorial -- creating your page, and linking it to the main camp roster.

Part One: Create your page

1) Look in the right hand column under "Navigator" and click on the folder called PBL CAMPERS.

2) In the lower right hand corner of that window is a tiny link called OPTIONS. Click that.

3) You will see a list of your fellow campers.

4) Click the link in the upper left with the green plus sign that reads NEW.

5) The arrow will drop down; select CREATE A PAGE.

6) Put your name in the NAME YOUR PAGE field.

7) You will see two tabs - VIEW and EDIT. Click EDIT.

8) Copy and paste the following text - not including the horizontal lines - into your new page and click SAVE.

-----------------

Name:

Title/Role in education:

Grade:

Subject:

Location:

PBL Experience:

Team Resources:

-----------------

Add your info (Name, Title/Role, etc) into your wiki and click SAVE.

As camp goes on, you will use the field that says Resources to save links to share with your team members.

Part Two: Link Your Page to the Camper Roster

Go to the Camper Roster and follow instructions at the top of that page.

(For future reference, you can also find the Camper Roster in the Navigator pane in the right hand column.)
